Chapter 9: The Internet

This week we talked about the Internet. In particular, we talked about the code that is used to create websites. We also talked about how to encrypt website so the information remains secret from those that shouldn't read it.

My business would have a website but I don't think that it would be one our customers would subscribe to. I see my website as being one for information. Describing our services and telling our potential customers how they can sign up for out services. Our customers would then have to come into the business in person to sign up. I don't think I would have them pay for anything online.

So I don't think website would need to be encrypted. But obviously I or someone would have to create the website. I think that a "wizzy-wig" program would be used to create the website. :)

Chapter 8: Networks/Internet

This lecture was about Computer Networks and the Internet. My business would definitely have a website on the Internet to advertise my new and upcoming business idea. I would also use a Local Area Network in the location.

In each deluxe tanning room the will be a computer. These computers will allow the customers to choose their personalize options for their perfect experience in the tanning room. These computers would be connected by a computer network. There would also probably be more than one computer at the front desk, in the business office, as well as all the tanning rooms.

The computer network would share the software program used to run the business. It would also share Microsoft office and other software used by the business.
