The Chapter this class was about the different types of Databases. Databases are like electronic file cabinets. A business could store all sorts of information in a Database in order to help run their business. This would of course be helpful in my Tanning room business.
There are several types of queries that I could use on the data I would store in my database. I could store customer information, inventory, financial information, etc.... I could use the queries to create bills, send out mailings about specials, print out inventory reports for ordering products and what not.
Databases would be very beneficial to my business. The many different uses of the queries will definitely help my business keep going.

Chapter 6: Digital Images
This class we talked about Digital Images and Multimedia. These are things used on websites. I would create a website to advertise my Entrepreneurial idea.
On my website I would put lots of pictures on it. Pictures of sun sets. Pictures of tan people. Pictures of beautiful sandy beaches.
To edit the pictures I'd use photoshop like in today's lab to edit the pictures for the website. I could also edit the pictures for the murals in the tanning rooms using photo shop. I could crop them and only use the parts of the images I would want on the walls. :)

Chapter 5: Office Basics
Wednesday our lecture was about Chapter 5, Office Basics. Office basics means like Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc... So how does this software pertain to my Tanning business?
Well, with any business you have to keep a budget. I could make a budget spreadsheet in Excel. Also, since there will be more than one Tanning Room I will want to schedule appointments for my clients using the Calendar in Outlook. I will also receive email from colleagues and customers and will use Outlook for that as well.
I could use Word for memos and notices that need to be distributed or hung around the business. I could also type instructions on how to use the computer software in the Tanning Rooms using Word. :) Office will be very useful for my business.
